HIP HOP

HIP HOP is a before and/or after school homework assistance program. For the 2006-2007 school year, HIP HOP will be held from 7:15 am to 7:45 am in the back of the library in Bitterroot.

HIP HOP Guidelines

TEACHERS

• Assign students to HIP HOP.
• Please notify HIP HOP tutors before HIP HOP starts so they will know what students to expect.
• Please notify the cottage and/or parents (in case of day-student's parents, one day ahead) of scheduled HIP HOP attendance.
• Clearly define what is to be done and copy/provide any necessary guides/answer sheets.
• Inform HIP HOP tutors of any accommodations (calculators, magnifiers, etc.)

HIP HOP TUTORS

• Take and keep attendance. Let the teachers know if a student did not show up.
• Indicate progress towards homework and report back to the teacher using the HIP HOP attendance. Return any equipment or manuals.
• Please let the teacher, supervising teacher, and principal know if a student is behaving poorly in HIP HOP.

STUDENTS

• If you need HIP HOP help, let your teacher know. You can also let your houseparent or parent know and they can talk to the teacher about getting you into HIP HOP.
• Come prepared with your books and materials.
• Work, not talk with friends.
• School rules and expectations apply in HIP HOP.
