MSDB School Library

One of the main goals of our library is to promote reading and literacy with all students. MSDB serves students from preschool through high school, and must maintain appropriate reading materials for all grades. In addition to our general school library collection, MSDB houses a small selection of Braille, Large Print, and audio books.

The MSDB library is fully-automated and can be accessed through our online catalog, which is made possible by a link to the Great Falls Public Library.

MSDB Professional & Outreach Library

Our professional collection of comprehensive materials related to deaf and blind children is available to parents and professionals working with sensory impaired children throughout the state. These can be accessed through our online catalog, and are available for loan. Professional resources include:

MSDB is the only library in Montana which houses a collection of Captioned Media Program (CMP) educational titles. The CMP provides free-loan, open captioned videos & media to deaf and hard of hearing individuals of any age, as well as their parents, teachers, interpreters, and other professionals. There are thousands of videos available nationally, and it is an excellent educational resource. The CMP is funded by the U.S. Department of Education, and administered by the nonprofit National Association of the Deaf.

You can learn more about CMP by visiting www.cfv.org, or calling the national CMP offices at: 1-800-237-6213 (Voice) or 1-800-237-6819 (TTY).
