Measuring Pumpkins

We measured the stems of our pumpkins as well as how big around they were.  We weighed our pumpkins on the scale.
Then we compared our measurements to find out whose was the heaviest, whose had the longest stem, and whose was the fattest. We then made a book about our pumpkins and took our books home to read to our parents.

The students improved their communication skills by reading, memorizing and discussing Brown Bear, Brown Bear . The Preschoolers learned color recognition as well as animal recognition and took turns sequencing the events of the book.
